Smart Toilet vs. Smart Toilet Seat

Choose between a complete integrated unit and a retrofit seat according to project scope, plumbing, and the existing ceramic fixture.

Integrated Unit (Smart Toilet)

Complete aesthetics, tankless options, automatic flushing, and seamless plumbing integration for new hotels or total renovations.

Retrofit Seat

A cost-effective upgrade for existing toilets, focused on washing, seat heating, and warm-air functions.

Installation Requirements

01 Water Pressure

Tankless integrated units require 0.15–0.75 MPa. The W1, K1 and 6293 run from 0.06 MPa with their water tank, which is the configuration to specify for low-pressure upper floors.

02 Electrical Grounding

A grounded 110V socket with leakage protection is required. Confirm the circuit rating against local electrical codes before procurement and installation.

03 Site Measurements

Rough-in differs by model: A17/A18 at 305 mm (12 in), W1 and K1 at 300 mm or 400 mm. Send bathroom drawings and we will check against model records before quoting.

Procurement Essentials

Confirm the commercial and technical scope before approving a model for distribution, hospitality or project use.

Model-Specific Compliance

cUPC (2022), UL E527307 and FCC records are held for the A17 / A18. Certification scope is confirmed by model before ordering.

No Minimum Order

Order one unit or a full container — factory wholesale pricing applies either way. US warehouse stock ships domestically with no import hassle.

US Warehouse Fulfillment

West Coast (CA) and East Coast (NJ) warehouses support fast domestic shipping. Larger project orders can route through either location.

Smart toilet questions buyers ask before sourcing

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. One unit is enough — factory wholesale pricing applies to every order. US warehouse stock ships domestically, so small orders arrive without customs clearance or port delays.

Do smart toilets need electricity?

Yes. The washing, heated-seat, warm-air, sensor and control functions require a grounded power supply. For North American projects, select a documented 110–130V, 50/60Hz configuration and confirm plug type, circuit protection and local electrical-code requirements before installation.

Read the North American voltage guide
What rough-in size is needed for a smart toilet?

The required rough-in depends on the model. This range includes fixed 300 mm and 305 mm models plus products offered in 300 mm or 400 mm versions. Measure from the finished wall to the drain centre and send the drawing for model-level confirmation before ordering.

Compare 300 mm and 400 mm rough-ins
Can a smart toilet work with low water pressure?

Some models are more suitable than others. Tankless A17, A18 and S21G configurations specify 0.15–0.75 MPa, while water-tank models such as W1, K1 and 6293 operate from 0.06 MPa. Confirm static and dynamic pressure at the installation site before final selection.

What certifications should a smart toilet have in the United States?

Certification scope depends on the product and market. Buyers commonly review plumbing compliance such as cUPC and electrical or radio compliance such as UL and FCC. Lavilys provides model-specific files where available instead of applying one certification claim to the full range.

Understand cUPC, WaterSense, UL and FCC
Are smart toilets suitable for hotels and multi-family projects?

They can be, provided the project standardizes voltage, rough-in, water pressure, spare parts and maintenance procedures. Commercial buyers should approve one documented configuration, retain model-specific manuals and plan a replacement-parts buffer before rolling out units across multiple rooms.

Review the hotel specification guide
Which technical documents are available before ordering?

Available files vary by model and can include user manuals, dimension drawings, installation information and model-specific compliance records. Use the technical resource library or include the required document types in your inquiry for confirmation.

Browse the technical document library
Are smart toilets worth the higher upfront cost?

For commercial buyers the answer depends on water use, maintenance and replacement cost over the life of the fixture. The total-cost-of-ownership review covers the figures to compare before you shortlist a model.
